Shipping Luxury Cars from USA and Canada to GCC
Ground Transportation Process by Truck
Vehicle Pick-Up:
The transportation process begins once the vehicle and freight costs are settled. Ghazll coordinates with Auction Export representatives to verify the vehicle and its title/ownership, ensuring everything is in order for pick-up. A flatbed or tow truck, operated by qualified and licensed drivers approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, will be dispatched to collect your vehicle.
Note: All vehicles are insured during ground transportation.
Ocean Transportation
Container Shipping:
Process: Your vehicle will be delivered to an Auction Export warehouse in NJ, GA, TX, CA, or in Canada to Toronto, ON, Montreal QC. A 40ft container can hold up to five vehicles. If you are shipping a full container load, the container will be loaded upon the vehicle’s arrival at the warehouse. For single vehicle shipments, your car will be consolidated with other vehicles and loaded once all have arrived at the warehouse.
Tracking: You will receive a container number to track your cargo’s location. Once the container is loaded, it will be transported to the port and loaded onto a vessel the following week.
RORO (Roll-On/Roll-Off)
Process: Your vehicle will be delivered directly to an exit port in NJ, MD, GA, FL, TX, CA, or Halifax, Nova Scotia for Canadian shipments. Upon arrival at the port, the title/ownership and accompanying documents will be submitted to U.S. Customs. Note that NJ customs often experience high volumes, leading to potential delays. The vehicle will be loaded onto the next available vessel.
Specifics for Nigeria: Most RORO vehicles to Nigeria are shipped with Grimaldi/ACL. Due to high demand, vehicles might miss the first available vessel. Despite this, Nigerian clients prefer Grimaldi for its safety and the convenience of its terminal in Lagos.
Receiving Your Car at the Destination Port
Container:
Full Container Load: The container will be released to the provided consignee.
Less Than Full Container Load: The container will be assigned to a destination agent who will de-consolidate the cargo for the respective consignees.
RORO:
Process: The consignee will receive the vehicle at the port using the Original Bill of Lading or a Telex release.
Documents:
- Delivery: The title and Original Bill of Lading (OBL) will be sent via express courier to the consignee upon receipt from U.S. Customs.
Note: Ghazll does not provide customs clearance services at the destination country. It is the client’s responsibility to clear their cargo.

Vessel Tracking

Notifications will be sent if this option becomes available for your vehicle after it has been delivered to the exit port.
